Goodbye 2B1C

Hey Luvies,

My deep apologies for not being up to date with 2B1C, I thought I would have more time during the summer but then I started an internship and was interning all day everyday and with Ramadan when i get home I ate and slept it was almost impossible to find time to blog. But that is in the past and for the present and the future I have started a new blog my own blog, since this was me and Nicole's blog, my new blog PIFFY is solely my own. 2B1C was fun but me and Nicole have both started new chapters in our life's and with that have decided to reinvent ourselves and shut down 2B1C and start a new brand. Our new brand is Partner In Fashion, now PIFFY like I said is solely my own but Nicole will be having her own addition to the Partner In Fashion Brand hopefully by next year. I'm sorry to our loyal followers but i promise i will not let you down with PIFFY.

You can now follow my new blog at partnerinfashion.blogspot.com and check out the launch here http://partnerinfashion.blogspot.com/2012/09/piffy-launch.html?m=1

With Love,

Be Fit. Be Happy.

Hello Ladies,

Sorry that I have not been consistent with my blog posts—I have been busy with work. However, as promised, here is my post on Be Fit Be Happy. I will share a few suggestions of some workout and eating habits that have helped me stay in shape and healthy.

Your health is critical and a good workout is a great energy boost, no less if you are a working woman.

Join a Gym:

My gym--Lucille Roberts--offers Zumba and Kickboxing, which are my two favorite gym classes. I love both classes because they incorporate toning exercises and cardio. Both classes allow me to sing along to songs or join everyone with the count, which helps me release all the stress that I may be holding on to.

Being that I work full-time, I typically go to the gym three times a week. When my schedule permits, I go four or five times weekly. When I do not attend a gym class, I do 15-20 minutes of cardio (treadmill or elliptical) and 30-35 minutes of toning/weights. During cardio, I increase my resistance every 2 minutes.

I typically workout different parts of my body every time, as I may fatigue my muscles if I do otherwise.

Find a Physical Activity You Enjoy:

If you do not enjoy working out, I recommend trying out a physical activity that you are comfortable with and enjoy—walking, jogging, running, riding a bike, swimming, etc.

I have a friend, who I will refer to as Mary, who dislikes to workout and due to health complications cannot perform heavy physical activity. I encouraged her to find an activity that she would enjoy and would not be detrimental to her health.

Mary signed up for yoga and absolutely loves it. She attends yoga once a week. She says that it is a great stress reliever and gives her time to think of absolutely nothing—something we all need to do once in a while. For cardio, she takes 30 minutes walks on the weekends.

Being healthy and staying fit does not just require physical activity. Eating right is also necessary.

I eat anything and everything. However, the secret is to eat small portions and avoid eating late night snacks. I eat about 5 times a day—breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner. I fill my draw at work with 100calorie snack bars, peanuts, cereal bars and fruits.

I tend to have a sweet tooth and I do not deprive myself. I indulge in all types of desserts modestly. On weekdays, when I go to bed early, I do not eat after 8:30 p.m. On the weekends or when I am out to dinner with friends I am less rigid with my eating habit, but am still conscience of what I eat.

Last but not least, looking great requires feeling great. Always smile and maintain a positive attitude. So set realistic and reachable goals. The ideal weight is that one that makes you feel confident.

Remember: Success or failure is caused more by mental attitude than by mental capacities-Sir Walter Scott

…and in this case, physical capacities. ;)

Please do not feel obligated to follow my recommendations. What may be effective for me may or may not be effective for you. Consult your physician or a certified trainer, if you have questions.

Until next time ladies!

Love,
Lin

Norma Kamali Beach Party

Hey Luvies,

So last night I went to the Norma Kamali Beach Party event where her swimwear and other pieces were being sold for sale prices. It was a great event and it was my first time at her 5th Ave store and I really liked the store, its 5 floors however only 2 floors were opened for the event, there was olive oil popcorn and drinks and a cafe. How cool is having a cafe at a store? Norma Kamali is very much into wellness and being healthy that she has a wellness cafe in her store promoting different health products and her own line of Olive Oil. Norma loves Olive Oil

"As far back as I can remember, my mother had a solution for everything with olive oil."

"I have incorporated olive oil and other timeless products and ideas into my lifestyle, to be more well and to build a powerful immune system."

Norma's styles are made to fit every type of woman with sizes ranging from XS to XL. Norma's Kamali Kulture collection is a collection of timeless pieces that every woman needs in her wardrobe

"I am very excited to share my dream come true to present a collection of timeless styles under $100 available on the internet. The styles I have chosen are not watered down versions of the OMO collection, but a collection of styles that everyone needs to have in their wardrobe. Everyone needs timeless styles jersey dresses that are a go to for family functions to school event for the kids, from work to dinner dates. Classic suiting that is not super styled but so well fitting and simply elegant that the individual components will work back to the most fashion forward styles or jeans and a tee shirt. Most of all it is a line I wear and my customers can enjoy. All the women that look at fashion skeptically, especially when a budget is most important, can have fun with this collection. "

Check out pics of the event below. Also i thought it was cool that Norma Kamali is an Alumni from my uni =D Way to go FIT! I love successful designers then finding out that they graduated from the same uni I'm attending, soon in the near future I'll be one of them too, a successful FIT Alumni Fashion Designer ;)

Loved all the photo's everywhere!

This was my fave piece! it also came in beige LOVE!!

The PR girl's sandals were super cute and I just had to snap a pic!

Thank You Norma Kamali for a great event!

Hamptons, French Toast and a Beautiful Horse

Hello Luvies,

So for Memorial Day Weekend my friend Lin invited me to go to the hamptons with her, it was a beautiful day out, thank god it did not rain and we had a great time, a lil tanner :p Now we didn't take much pics as we were enjoying ourselves most of the time but the few (4) pics we took are below

Isn't it lovely?

My weekend then consisted of an amazingly HUGE french toast which I can without a doubt say was DELICIOUS! =D I had brunch with a couple of my friends at Norma's in Le Parker Meridien Hotel and let me tell you, you haven't had a proper brunch till you've had it at Norma's. This place has amazing food and all of their dishes look amazing, I was contemplating between the Nutella Flapjacks or the Crunchy French Toast and after asking the waiter's opinion I'm glad I went with the Crunchy French Toast, it was so good with what seemed like rice krispies to make it crunchy and a caramel sauce which tasted just like maple syrup aaah it was soo good! I'm actually salivating right now while typing this :p I mean just take a look for yourself..

My weekend ended with a carriage ride around central park from a beautiful horse which I got to feed and take cute pics with :)

Peace out till my next post!
