CFDA Awards 2012 - Preview

Hello Luvies,

So I was fortunate enough to get the chance to volunteer for this amazing show, I got to stand in for a model during dress rehearsals. It was an amazing 2 day experience, got to basically see the whole show before it airs, and since it still hasn't aired I can't really give out details, I will be posting another post though after it airs with details so stay tuned :) For now check out a few pics I snapped of celebrities on the red carpet as they arrived at Alice Tully Hall

DVF Shirt Dresses

What do you guys think of Diane Von Furstenburg's Shirt Dresses? I absolutely LOVE them! They're the perfect thing to own because its a shirt and a dress. The ways you can wear this item is ENDLESS, beach dress, beach cover up, summer dress. I love the length too, its the kind of shirt that you can wear with tights. Also its a perfect piece because any girl can wear it, I'm talking about covered girls, they can easily wear this with jeans, its loose and long sleeves. These kind of pieces are the kind of pieces I like, when designers create a piece of clothing that becomes Universal in a sense. Any girl from any part of the world can find it fashionable and can find a way to wear it in her country. Winter or Summer this piece will be available for you to wear and the patterns and colors that they come in are super cute!

DVF Spring 2012

I'm loving Diane Von Furstenburg's Spring 2012 Collection, all the Orange is amazing! Diane's collections are always fun and wearable and there is always something from each collection that I like :)

Meeting Diane Von Furstenburg

Thanks DVF for coming to Miami and spending the weekend with us! Among her store visits I was able to make it to her Bal Harbour fashion-mingle at her own store on the second floor partying it up with a DJ, exquisite appetizers, photographers, spiked OJ, and of course, fabulous people. The live fashion show was our backdrop with gorgeous models draped in DVF's SS2012 collection. As soon as she entered the store, I was on a mission to meet her and was able to say a few words to her about myself and my partner-in-fashion (Reem) and was surprised by a rather warming response by DVF. She grabbed my cheeks and smiled as if my youthful face and energy inspired her. Here's a sneak peak of the party and stay tuned for the full post of pictures!
